Charity swimmer Jimmy Love, who swam half-a-mile along the West bay of Dunoon while tugging a boat, has had his efforts recognised at Holyrood.
Highlands and Islands MSP Tim Eagle, who proposed a motion congratulating Mr Love said: “This must have been one of the most remarkable charity efforts in a very long time. Just imagine swimming that distance towing a boat, while aboard a musician is performing for the crowd. An extraordinary effort which fully deserves recognition in the Scottish Parliament.”
Jimmy Love raised £1,200 which was split between the Pink Ladies of Argyll, a local breast cancer charity, and eXp Youth Work, a Christian children’s work organisation. Local musician, Kenny McLay provided additional entertainment to spectators performing on the boat while towed by Jimmy.
